GIMME15chance LYRICS

@wolfkier CHANCE TAKE IT (PT1)
I see a chance, I gotta take it,
What ya got? Show to me
(I see a chance,I gotta take it)
Baby, I'm a sucker for opportunity

@wolfkier CHANCE TAKE IT (PT2)
take it, take it, take it, take it

@wolfkier CHANCE TAKE IT (PT3)
An iron horse, a martian frog (want one them)
I wouldn't let either of them sit for very long
Cos I'm a sucker for opportunity

@wolfkier with @intoyourlight COUNT YOU IN
And if I make you smile, I count you in
I make you count, let you fit in
If I count you in.
And we might both be losers
But for a moment we are winners with a grin
If I count you in.

WHITE ALICE ANTENA ARRAY

My name is Chance. I suffer from severe depression and Arithmomania, an accute form of OCD. That's 2. I count.

When I was 6, the man who I believed to be my biological father beat me in a drunken rage because I could not count from 1 to 15. He called me an idiot. My mother came home to find me bruised and traumatized. She divorced him the next day. That's 6 and 15. I forgot 7 and 8.

The man, Chuck, was unemployed and unemployable at that time as his previous work involved top secret communication research at Adac Airforce Naval Base, Station HYPO, on the Alaskan Aleutian Islands, and his Curriculum Vitae showed an unexplained gap for the 3 years he was posted there, about which time he was forbidden to speak. He was decommissioned as the base closed and the project abandoned in 1997. That's 3.

My mother, I believe, secretly blamed me for the end of her marriage. When I was 15, during one of our angry fights, my mother screamed at me that she wished the doctor had aborted me. That's 1 and 15.

When my mother was pregnant with me, at 15, she sought an abortion. The family doctor she secretly confided in was morally opposed to abortion but financially compelled to bring income to his failing practice. He made her pay for a “quiet” abortion but did nothing. He put her to sleep, went outside and chain smoked 3 cigarettes for 21 minutes, returned to revive her, telling her the procedure was complete and all had gone “swimmingly”. That's 15 and 21 and 3 and 1,000.

When I was a kid I would count the number of times a letter appeared on page 15 of any book I could find. I would mark each letter with a color and carefully note at the bottom of the page the number of As, Bs, Cs.... That's 15 and 26 times lots of numbers. Varied. E is the most common letter. Z, J and Q are the least.

I could never find a page 15 that wouldn't allow me to spell out CHANCE. C H A N C E . That's 15 and 5.

My name, Chance, was designed by my mother by taking 6 letters from her name, Hannah, 3 letters from the name of a man who didn't know I was his child, Hank, and 3 letters the man who was led to believe I was his child, Chuck. The E came from aesthetic necessity, but also because it is the most used letter in the English alphabet. That's 6 and 3 and 3 and 1 into 5. I don't like that.

When I was 21, a man, who I did not know was my biological father, walked into the gas station where I worked as a clerk. He bought cigarettes and 2 random pick lottery tickets. In an effort to raise a smile from my gloom, he offered me my choice of the 2 tickets to keep as a gift for myself. That's 21 and 1 and 2.

This became a friendly weekly ritual we both came to look forward to. This lasted for 15 weeks. Every time I chose a ticket, the game of choice and chance ended with him saying “doesn't matter much which one you choose...we're both losers here!” and we'd laugh.

On the 15th week, the ticket I chose won the State Jackpot. That week I chose the ticket in his right hand because I could not see his thumb behind the ticket in his left hand. That's 2 and 1 and 9 and 15.

The State Lottery jackpot on the week I won was 15 million dollars. That's 15 again.

I've heard that vampires have Arithmomania. I'm not a vampire.

My winning random numbers were.... (That's 6 from 69, odds of winning 1 in 292,201,338)

My name is Chance. I count.

HORACE ATTABOY (ARITHMOMANIA DEFINITION)
THE DRAFT SCRIPT FOR ARITHMOMANIA DOCO.
Arithmomania (from Greek arithmós, "number", and maníā, "compulsion") is a mental disorder , a form of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD).

Individuals suffering from Arithmomania have a strong need to count their actions or objects in their surroundings.
Sufferers of Arithmomania may feel compelled to count the steps on a flight of stairs or to count the number of letters in words. They often feel it is necessary to perform an action a certain number of times (to prevent alleged calamities) to prevent calamities that they allege will take place if they do not.
Arithmomania sometimes develops into a complex system in which the sufferer assigns values or numbers to people, objects and events in order to deduce their coherence.
Arithmomaniacs may link numbers and particular numerical values to past events. They may repeat their actions a particular number of times, and this number is linked to their particular satisfied event.
Counting may be done aloud or in thought.
In Folklore: European folklore concerning vampires often depicts them with arithmomania, such as a compulsion to count seeds or grains of millet. This vampiric Curse was used against the hapless vampire to keep him busy compulsively counting scattered seeds while his victims escaped.
If vampires are arithmomaniacs is that why they call Dracula: Count Dracula?

@nancycunning NOBODY COUNTED ON ME (ORIGINALLY LONGER VERSION)
Nobody counted on me
Nobody counted on me
Nobody counted on me, see
Nobody counted on me

I was born, born in left field
Wasn't s'pposed to, wasn't s'posed to come
Mama tried, she tried to make the best of me
Mama tried to let me be her son
But I was born in left field
I wasn't s'posed to come

I showed up six weeks early, a failure to abort
My eyes have stayed blue
I've turned out too short
I came six weeks early,
A failure, a failure, a failure to abort
